Certified Nursing Assistants:

Employment opportunities available 2nd shift 3:00pm to 11:30pm & 3rd shift 11:00pm to 7:30am!

-High School graduate or equivalent.
-Successful completion of a nursing assistant training course and/or current status as a student in an RN or LPN preparatory program with one semester of clinical experience in a nursing program.
-Certified Nursing assistant or equivalent.
-Knowledge of arithmetic, English and grammar.
-Good general mental and physical health; well groomed.
-Desire to be of service to others and dependable.
-Demonstrated interpersonal relationship skills.
-Patient care experience preferred.
-CPR certification required.
-Must meet the physical requirements of the position, as outlined in the job description available through the Human Resources department.

Unit Assistant:

Employment opportunities available 2nd shift 3:00pm to 11:30pm!

-Two years secretarial or healthcare related college coursework required.
-One year relevant experience can be substituted for coursework.
-Certified Nursing Assistant or equivalent.
-CPR certification required.
-Patient care experience preferred.
-Minimum of one-year secretarial experience or clinical experience in a healthcare facility preferred.
-Strong computer skills required.
-Familiarity with Meditech preferred.
-Medical terminology required or willingness to pursue as necessary.
-Ability to consistently interact in a professional manner with patients, families, physicians, other members of the healthcare team, community offices and agencies.
-Adheres to BMC Service Standards in the performance of work role.
-Must possess and demonstrate excellent organizational skills necessary to complete complicated and multiple tasks accurately and concurrently.
-Must have ability to accept and facilitate changes within systems, work methods, policies, procedures, etc.
-Must possess interpersonal skills necessary to maintain congenial and calm composure in stressful environment.
-Must have ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with hospital policy and various regulations.
-Must possess ability to communicate clearly with patients and staff, both in writing and speech, with or without use of prosthesis.
-Bilingual skills consistent with patient population are preferred.
-Must possess the ability to promote patient safety with detail to accuracy.
-Assures compliance with unit-specific scope of practice in accordance with job description.
-Demonstrated dependability in maintaining a work schedule.
-Demonstrated assertive skills when dealing with varying levels of personnel.
-Must meet the physical requirements of the position, as outlined in the job description available through the Human Resources department.

Berkshire County Arc Employment Opportunities:

Berkshire County Arc will be onsite for the HealthCare & Human Services Job Fair on Wednesday, April 4th from 10am to 12pm with the below employment opportunities:

  • Residential Support – perform direct care and training as defined by individual needs and assist in the implementation of behavior intervention plans as specified in the Individual Support Plans
  • Brain Injury Support – provide support services to help individuals relearn skills that allow them to continue to live in their own communities. Areas of development include neurobehavioral and neurocognitive management, independent living, leisure, recreation and community integrations, vocational and social/family skills
  • Habilitation Specialist – position available in our beautiful Day Program. Duties include training of individuals with developmental disabilities in rehabilitation goals, lifting and positioning of people who use wheelchairs, providing direct support to individuals, including feeding, toileting and other ADL’s. Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team environment is a must

All positions require a valid US Driver’s license, CORI and National Fingerprint Background Check.

Geriatric Support Services Coordinator – Responsible for functioning as a member of the Primary Care Team (PCT) in an entity contracted with MassHealth as a Senior Care Option (SCO). To assess the need and eligibility of applicants and clients for enrollment in the SCO programs. To make recommendations, coordinate, implement, and monitor contracted and community services for the purpose of promoting the client’s overall health, independence and to prevent premature institutionalization

Information Technology (IT) Coordination – Provide technical assistance and training to computer users on agency software programs. Answer questions and resolve computer problems for staff in-person, or via telephone or electronically. Provide assistance concerning the use of computer and telecommunication hardware and software, including printing, installation, word processing, electronic mail, and operating systems. Maintain the agency’s networked workstations

Behavioral Health Clinician – Responsibilities will include clinical supervision of staff members, conducting clinical record reviews, facilitating interdisciplinary team meetings, case consultation, and providing supervision & training as required. Must have excellent clinical and communication skills

Social Work Case Manager – Responsible for supporting the dignity and independence of older persons or those with disabilities in need of assistance by assessing their situations, identifying unmet needs, arranging for, coordinating and monitoring services to meet those needs, and advocating with other agencies on behalf of their client

Kitchen Utility Worker – Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing in the kitchen. Also receives and stores deliveries
